The year was 1963. That same year AT&T introduced the touch tone phone, the United States introduced the zipcode system, and WWII pilot Edward Walker introduced the Lava Lamp. And it was also the year a young man named Richard Welton realized his dream of owning his own business.
After purchasing Kaechele Heating & Cooling from his partner Karl Kaechele, Richard changed the name of the business to Welton’s Heating & Cooling. Under his adept leadership Richard quickly secured dealer accreditation from Lennox Industries and thus laid the foundation for what has become Barry County’s premier go to source for heating and cooling systems, supplies and services.
Now three generations of experience later, son Doug Welton together with Doug’s sons Chad and David, oversee Welton’s day-to-day operations. When you call us today you’ll be able to quickly tell our focus is on the total customer experience. You’ll hear it in our voice and see it on our person.
Pretty much anyone can supply heating and cooling systems – it’s the 50 solid years that sets Welton’s apart. Together with our local community we’ve been privileged to grow a business combining energy efficient heating and cooling products with premier, energy efficient, people-centered service. Fifty years in the same community is solid evidence Welton’s Heating & Cooling is guilty-as-charged for being a great place staffed with great people who know their stuff.
Our commitment to provide great equipment and excellent service at a fair price has not changed one iota since 1963. Welton’s Heating & Cooling remains at the forefront of energy efficient heating and cooling systems installations.
